OUR STORY
It started with one vet who refused to look away.
In 1991, a young Egyptian veterinarian named Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed was spending his days moving between poultry houses across the Delta. Again and again he watched the same thing happen: a farmer would lose half a flock to a disease that was entirely treatable — not because the medicine didn't exist, but because what reached the Egyptian market was inconsistent, mishandled in storage, or sold with no guidance on how to use it.
He decided to become the supplier he wished existed. Biotrade began as a single room in Nasr City with a phone, a borrowed pickup, and one rule that has never changed: never sell a farmer anything you wouldn't use on your own animals.
Thirty-five years later, Biotrade supplies poultry and livestock producers in every governorate in Egypt, sourcing from GMP- and ISO-certified manufacturers across Europe and Asia — but the company is still built around that first promise.
That is the difference between buying a box and having a partner. The global giants sell to Egypt. We are from here — and we've never been anywhere else.
I never wanted to be the biggest name in the market. I wanted to be the name a farmer says when someone asks him who he trusts.
